My good friend Baylea allowed me to crash in her apartment (thank you to her, and her dog in the pics!) and I made a small commute from the Beautiful down town San Diego to Del Mar for a couple of Days.

The view from her apartment is amazing, overlooking the harbor and about 7 stories up. Check it out!

As for the workshop, it was a good experience. I wasn’t sure what to expect and it was a investment that I felt I needed to make. I had hoped that by attending this would workshop it would help me learn how to grow my business and desire to possibly make photography a more invested commitment. It was put on by the well known Dane Sanders based out of OC and his team from Fast Track.

I had a great time, meet some good people, networked and most of all took in so many new and helpful resources. There is just way to much for me to explain here. Dane really takes a hold of you and the business side of photography. He makes you think of your goals as measurable instead of just a thought or vision.

Anyways, on one of the days we got to go out and do a photo session. I don’t know how I can share all of the shots just on here but I will post some. I hope you enjoy. The couple were a lot of fun to work with and really took well to the camera and were NOT shy. I hope you enjoy!

Not only is the food is amazing but the staff run by Manager Scott Peterson and Head Sushi Chef Sean Hwang are awesome as well. Make sure you stop by. Did I mention it’s ocean front on PCH so the views and sunsets are amazing! Right between the Bar and the Sushi Bar is a giant salt water tank, pretty cool as well. Its almost like you can see what your going to eat, just kidding. Here are a few shots of the staff mentioned previously and the overall layout. They are soon to be published in a few magazines… (so im told). (RIVIERA, GREAT TASTE MAGAZINE)

My very first custom save the date card

Here is a recent, and well, FIRST  “Save the Date” card i have done.  It was one for some good friends of mine Bobby and Tiffany.  I was lucky enough to shoot some fun photos for them on Bobby’s proposal to Tiffany, some casual photos, and then some engagement shots!  On top of that I was lucky enough to also be asked to do the card you see below.

Also is a brief timeline of Bobbys surprise boat ride in the back bay, out to the Wedge where he proposed to Tiffany.   Obviously Tiffany didnt know I was hiding in the bathroom for about 45 min (hot in there!) and then after he asked her, I made my way out to capture it all!  Then a ride back, and a surprise birthday dinner with all their friends and both families!  What an awesome day.  I felt so luck to be a part of it!

If you have been following along you will know that I am trying to be more up to date on my postings. But I also think that I have some good events from the past that I would like to share as well. This one came about a few months ago from a friend.

She and her family were looking to do something memorable and special for her father and mother in law to be. They were getting married so all of her siblings and family decided a awesome wedding gift would be a family photo.

We decided a local spot for them to meet would be the California Citrus State Historic Park. This was central to most of their family and a great outdoor place to shoot. It has a lot of great history and unique places to see on the grounds. Its open to the public and only a few dollars to park. Amongst some trees, open green grass areas, picnic tables and roses there are rows and rows or orange trees. The fresh smell of oranges and blossoms really sets the mood.

We walked around to different areas of the park and had a lot of fun. At one point the little ones got a little restless so we just let them run free. They were great and I think the photos turned out well. Hope their parents like them as well!

Another post from the past, but still fun. These photographs were done for a wedding gift for their parents. They actually printed out most of them, framed them and surprised them as a wedding gift. Such a great idea and the parents loved them.
